ZOOM and GOOGLE MEET
BREAKOUT ROOMS
Google Meet has come out with updates through our new Enterprise system (Thanks Tim!), and Breakout Rooms- -similar to Zoom, can be created!
This is so exciting!
Watch this 6 minute, step by step video to learn how to create breakout rooms and what it looks like for teachers and students.
Just a quick tech tip:
Did you know you can pre-assign students to your zoom breakout rooms?
This allows students to stay in the same group multiple times without teachers having to manually switch students around or recreate the breakout room.
This website, for me, had the best how-to directions.
Here is a how-to tutorial video: video. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F9M36-WPBvuY-jZUZGeYCPX4UWor05xo/view
GOOGLE JAMBOARD
I wanted to give you a quick update on a new google tool - GOOGLE JAMBOARD. It's even directly EMBEDDED into your Google Meet sessions.
Google Jamboard is an interactive whiteboard tool where students can work collaboratively, in real time, in order to share ideas and their new learning.
Check out the different resources, and let me know if you want help getting this started in your own classroom!
