12&U Nexus Netballers Start The Season Strongly.

This year we have 27 enthusiastic and motivated under 12 netball players who are excited to develop their skill level and play against other schools again. We have players who are experienced and also others who are trying netball for the first time. We have already started our season with two wins in our competition. Last week we played the Overseas Family School and finished with a score of 18-11. Wednesday this week we played the Australian International School and narrowly won 16-15. Our goal shooters are increasing in confidence and becoming more familiar with each others movements in the circle. A strength has been our feeding by our C and WA into the circle. Thoughtful play in our AIS game resulted in a one goal difference. Our defence players have become more aware of the importance to defend every pass and we have had some wonderful intercepts in each game.

A fantastic start to the season. It is a pleasure to coach and support this group of players who display all of our Nexus values. Congratulations to everyone.

10&U Netballers Impress As They Develop Their Skills.

The 10U Netballers have got off to a flying start this season. The non-competitive team enjoyed developing their skills and improving their Netball knowledge and understanding. All matches are played at Nexus on Wednesdays from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm. We would love for more families and friends to come and join us in Sports Hall 1 and watch the action. Thanks to Ms. Christelle and Ms. Aysha for their support and guidance with the team.

The competitive team had their first round of matches which take place at Dulwich College on Wednesdays from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm. It's been wonderful to see them not only supporting their Nexus teammates, but also players from other schools. They showed excellent teamwork and loved wearing their Nexus Netball uniform (and also enjoyed the excitement of a team trip on the bus!). Ms. Martin will be on the Year 9 school trip to Tioman for the games on Wednesday 21st September, so Ms. Hughes will be looking after the team that day. Players - please remember to bring your Nexus Netball uniform, a drink bottle, and a snack (optional).
