Dear Parents and Caregivers

The last two weeks have been full of energy in the Primary School with all our learners well settled and involved in a range of exciting learning engagements. Season 1 of the ECA and CCA programme started this week. With over 130 activities taking place, before school, during lunchtimes and after school, the children have had a wonderful time exploring new passions!

We have also spent time acknowledging the importance of the United Nations Global Goals. Our four focus goals have been:

  • Clean Water and Sanitation

  • Decent work and Economic growth

  • Sustainable Cities and communities

  • Quality Education

Please take a look at our 'Global Goals Across the Year Groups' tab to see what the learners have been doing.

The ongoing message we always take away from Global Goals Week is the need to collaborate and work together to achieve our goals. We continually come back to the need to build and invest in our relationships with one another. This week as a whole school we have taken part in our Climbathon, dressed up as 'What we Want to be When we Grow Up' and found out more about the Charity Pipal Tree that supports the development of sustainable communities in Nepal.

We have also been considering our Care Movement in assembly time. Below is the Jamboard created by Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 as they shared the different ways they care for themselves. I think everybody's wellbeing would be improved if we followed their ideas - mine certainly would!

Finally, I'd like to wish a Happy Mid Autumn Festival to all our families who celebrated last week. 愿明月与你常相伴,照亮你的健康和幸福的生活。

Have a lovely weekend
