FUNdamentals N-K

We have been traveling a lot in the FUN room, we've been to the beach, on a bear hunt and soon we'll be going on a dinosaur dig! All these adventures help us with our physical literacy and connect moving our bodies with learning about numbers, words and feelings.

Please ensure your child has a water bottle and appropriate footwear (trainers, no crocs or sandals) on PHE days.

Years 1-6

We are coming to the end of our Adventure Challenge unit and learners are putting all their communication and teamwork skills into more challenging activities. Coming soon is the cross country challenge and we will be preparing our Y3-6 learners by walking the routes and setting our own goals.

Aquatics

At Nexus Aquatics, our young learners start off learning through play using guided discovery. We make lessons fun and enjoyable through sensory play. The use of colourful toys with different textiles and shapes aids in stimulating the brain through visual and the physical touch. The freedom of movement in the water encourages the range of motion of the limbs improving both fine and gross motor skills for our learners. Buoyancy in water which acts against gravity eliminates impact which ensures good joint health too.
