This week, we used our questions and past experiences about sound to make a plan about designing a sound device to share Good News in the classroom. We read a book to find out how an engineering team plans to solve their engineering problem by gathering information and making designs. We then gathered information by revisiting familiar instruments (i.e. shaker, box guitar, drum, etc.) to notice parts that make sound. We drew individual designs for our sound signal devices and then collaborated with partners to combine ideas into one drawn design.
We shared our designs with partners and collaborated on designing one shared sound device!
