BA/BFA (or BAFA) students at The New School undertake a unique educational experience: study in an applied art and design or contemporary music program combined with a liberal arts education, enrolling as students at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts and at either Parsons School of Design or the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in the College of Performing Arts. In this way, BAFA students serve as bridges themselves; through their unique degree pathway, they build connections across colleges, majors, and departments at The New School.
The BAFA Advising Bridge is a resource developed to help BAFA students navigate the requirements of their academic programs, and provide a dynamic aggregate of resources from across the University for BAFA students. Students may also receive periodic email updates from the BAFA Advising team at advisingbafa@newschool.edu.
Note that information on the Bridge is not meant to replace the Academic Catalog published yearly by The New School. Specific information about curriculum is also available on individual college and school websites.
