Lang/Jazz & Contemporary Music (JCM) BAFA students will fulfill the following, through the successful completion of the requirements for a BA degree in Lang and a BFA degree in the College of Performing Arts, School of Jazz & Contemporary Music. BA in The Arts (concentrations available in Visual Studies and Arts in Context)

BAFA Lang/Jazz & Contemporary Music:
Students are only required to take one semester of Writing the Essay (LFYW1000) at Lang
Students are required to take 4 Music History courses; 1 Music History course can be taken at Lang (LMUS course, review with advisor before enrolling)
Students are only required to take 2 credits of Performing Arts Core electives (1 elective at 2-3cr or 2 electives at 1cr each)
Students may take Private Lessons part time (1cr) each semester in their fifth/final year
Students may opt out of Improvisation Ensemble in their fifth/final year if they have reached 16cr of Improv Ensemble by that time
