GCSE Results Day is an important milestone, and we want to ensure all students are fully informed and supported as they take their next steps.
GCSE results will be emailed to students on the morning of Results Day. In addition, students are expected to come into school to collect their results pack, which includes:
A printed copy of your GCSE results
A Sixth Form Confirmation of Place form
Additional guidance on the next steps
The Confirmation of Place form can be downloaded using the links below.
If you are planning to join Neston Sixth Form, you must complete the following steps:
Collect Your Results Pack
Attend school on Results Day to collect your pack in person.
Complete the Confirmation of Place Form
Enter your GCSE results in the relevant section.
List the courses you wish to study at Sixth Form.
Make sure to check the option blocks to ensure your chosen courses do not clash.
Seek Subject Approval
Visit each subject teacher for the courses you have chosen. They will review your results and sign the form to confirm your eligibility and acceptance onto the course.
Submit to the Sixth Form Team
Once you have collected all required teacher signatures, take your completed form to a member of the Sixth Form team, who will review your application and provide final confirmation of your place. An email will be sent later in the day to provide written confirmation of enrolment.
If you are unable to attend school on Results Day and are completing the process remotely, please submit the form to admin@nestonhigh.com, a member of the Sixth Form team will contact you on the day to discuss your form. This may include discussions around issues with students not meeting the entry requirements.
If students have narrowly missed the entry requirements for a course they wish to study they are advised to speak with the teachers of that subject. In these circumstances students acceptance onto courses will be decided upon on a case by case basis.
To be offered a place in Neston Sixth Form, students must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 4–9
Meet the subject-specific entry requirements for each chosen course (these are available on the website)
A good record of attendance, punctuality, and behaviour
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak with a member of staff on Results Day. We are here to support you as you take this exciting next step.
If you have any further questions please email Mr Burton (burtonl@nestonhigh.com).
