Are you someone who is awake?! Do you look at what is going on around you? Do you believe everything you see or hear in the media or from your friends/parents? Or do you maybe think that not everything is as it appears? If you think maybe we should not simply accept things as they are and ask questions of what is going on in the world then Sociology is quite possibly the subject for you.
Sociology is a popular A level which expects students to be independent learners who are interested in current affairs and issues affecting society. Students should be open minded and must be prepared to challenge their own beliefs and knowledge in order to develop their sociological awareness and skills. Anyone who enjoys a good debate and can present a balanced, informed argument should be able to achieve success on the course. If you wish to improve not only your academic capabilities but also a critical awareness of the world, then you should consider studying A level Sociology.
