The AQA EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) is an independent research project that allows students to explore a topic of their choice in depth. It develops valuable skills such as critical thinking, research, and project management, and is highly regarded by universities.
All students are offered the opporunity to take an EPQ in year 12 with the view to complete it in year 13. Each students selects their own topic in an area they are interested in and is able to approach a supervisor who can offer support and guidance along the way.
There are no entry requirements for students to take an EPQ but we expect a strong worth ethic, commitment and organisation in order for students to have the best possible chance at success.
