"This particular version of the Aboriginal Worldviews course is designed for people with a very beginning understanding of indigenous worldviews. It's an exploration into some of the implications of the worldviews for understanding education as it's experienced by aboriginal people, but also learning about aboriginal worldviews and how that can change the relationship between indigenous and non-indigenous people in Canada."

4 Seasons of Indigenous Learning

This course is a partnership between Reconciliation Education, First Nations University of Canada, and The Outdoor Learning Store. This course has learning modules and monthly speakers.

"We offer the 4 Seasons of Indigenous Learning as an acknowledgement that authentically undertaking a personal learning journey towards Truth and Reconciliation takes more than just a day or month each year, but should be across all four seasons.

This initiative encourages and empowers educators to deepen their understanding of Indigenous knowledge and perspectives while strengthening connections with the local land.

This learning is open to EVERYONE. While the content of the modules in Season 1 is specific to Canada, it is transferable across Turtle Island (North America)

This is the same learning opportunity as Every Child Matters – 4 Seasons of Reconciliation. We have just updated the naming to better reflect the learning. So if you have taken this learning, we invite you to register for Season 2: Learning from the Land."

COST: There is a fee for this program. Upon completion within the time frame you receive a certificate from First Nations University of Canada.

The Course is closed for Fall 2023, but re-opens in Spring 2024.
