Use of Space & Time

Curate themed book displays, such as "Books That Have Been Banned Elsewhere," "Teachers' Favorite Reads," and "New Arrivals," to engage students and encourage reading. 

Collaborate with the technology department to enhance understanding of the 3D printing process, aiming to support and expand makerspace activities. 

Developed a small video recording studio in the back of the library, utilized by students for personal passion projects and class assignments. 

Offer a variety of seating options to accommodate diverse student needs, including comfortable furniture that promotes group discussions, plush chairs in quiet corners for individual reflection, adjustable-height tables, and small conference-style work areas for focused tasks. 

Implement weekly or monthly challenges utilizing makerspace resources and other library tools, such as digital cameras, video/photo editing software, and programming kits, to inspire student creativity and learning. 

Invite guest speakers throughout the year to interact with students during academic resource periods, such as members of the Ho-Chunk Nation during Native American Heritage Month in November, to enrich cultural understanding and learning experiences. 

Host a digital safety night for parents and community members, inviting local leaders to discuss trends, scientific insights, and solutions related to technology and its impact on daily life. 

Collaborate with academic resource staff, currently housed in the library, to enhance accessibility and integration of library resources into classroom instruction, fostering a more cohesive learning environment.
