Collaborative Leadership

Provided a comprehensive overview of library resources to incoming staff members at the start of the year. 

Recently joined the district literacy team to stay informed about changes and offer support where possible. 

Maintain a strong working relationship with IT Director Erik Saylor, collaborating on initiatives such as loaner Chromebooks, mobile hotspots, and analyzing and updating technology policies as needed. 

Collaborate with the technology education department to become more familiar with their 3D printing initiatives, aiming to better assist with makerspaces within the libraries. 

Serves as a go-to resource for staff regarding issues with the Learning Management System (LMS) – Schoology – and digital classroom management software – Classwize (formerly NetRef). 

Provide annual reminders to new and returning staff about available resources through the library. 

Implement digital signage in the library to highlight new resources for both students and teachers. 

Offer monthly learning opportunities during lunch or academic resource periods for students, covering topics such as basic coding, robotics, photography, videography, and projects aimed at improving the school or community. 

Host a digital safety night for parents and community members, inviting local leaders to discuss trends, science, and solutions related to technology and its impact on our lives.
