Building Instructional Teams consist of the Building Administrator, Instructional Technology Coach, Instructional Library Technology Specialists (ILTS), Technology Mentor(s) and Helpdesk Technician. There are four instructional Technology Teams working within the Technology Department. The Instructional Technology Coach will provide leadership for each team however, all members of the team are equally responsible for results per building.
The expected outcomes of these teams are to provide building support to build 21st Century learning environments and build capacity for creating innovative learning environments in every building at NJSD. This will be measured through CLARITY BrightBytes , Schoology and Google analytics data. The expectation is every building will have developed and be executing a building based innovation plan.
Instructional Technology Coach - This position will provide leadership for the Instructional Team. The Instructional Technology Coach will provide instructional technology learning opportunities for students and staff in their building(s) of responsibility. The ITC will work with Administrators and instructional staff creating innovative and 21st Century learning environments.
Instructional Library Technology Specialist - This position will be responsible for providing similar guidance to staff as that of the ITC including working with staff in classrooms. The ILTS will also be responsible for oversight of library services, digital citizenship curriculum, providing guidance to students. More details are available on the Library and Media Services page.
Building Technology Mentor(s) - Each academic building has 1 - 6 staff members that represent their building as Technology Mentors. Tech Mentors are regular classroom teachers that have shown interest, exhibited digital aptitude and have demonstrated instructional creativity and innovation. They tend to be "go-to" teachers in buildings. The Technology Mentor program organizes these teachers for regular meetings, to discuss new ideas and to plan and facilitate technology professional development.
HelpDesk Technician - Primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for hardware, software and all instructional systems. This includes, but is not limited to; devices (laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, SMART Boards, document cameras, projectors, other AV equipment, etc.

Team 3 - Spring Road, Clayton, Wilson, Taft Elementary Schools and Washington School of Early Learning
Team 4 - Hoover, Lakeview, Coolidge, Tullar, Roosevelt Elementary Schools and Alliance Charter School
Additional Building Support is provided by NJSD Technology Team staff with "District" responsibilities
