Prerequisite: Active Lifestyles 1 or 2, or permission of department chair.
Content: The emphasis in this course is on the process of working through an experience-based program. The teacher is simply the facilitator as students navigate their way through carefully sequenced challenges and activities that allow students to get to know one another, communicate, grow in physical and emotional trust, problem solve and then challenge one another, resulting in confidence and independence critically thinking students.
Activities: Group problem solving, Belay School, Climbing Wall, High Element Climbing, Kayaking and Fitness Assessments.
Cost: $35.00 Course fee, checks made out to NHS Physical Education.
A conservative one-piece swimsuit is required for girls and lined trunk-style swimsuit for boys
