The Kellogg Institute and the University of Notre Dame offer several different computing services to all visitors, and the Institute will make every effort to accommodate your needs. Although Apple computers will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis, Kellogg visitors are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptop computer or to purchase one while at the Institute.
If you will be bringing a laptop computer, the Institute will provide any hardware or software necessary to attach your computer to the University network. The University is currently part of the Eduroam network. If you have an Eduroam account, we encourage you to use this network for secure wireless service. Please contact Andre Ratasepp, Kellogg's IT Solutions Specialist, if you experience problems joining your computer to the network. Also, please make sure that your computer's operating system is up to date and that you have adequate virus/malware protection installed.
The Hammes Hub inside the Bookstore sells several different brands of computers and software at educational discounts.
Additionally, Kellogg offers on-site technical consulting and minor hardware/software repair at no charge, and the University maintains a fully certified repair center that can handle all warranty and major repair work. Information about computer service and repair is available here.
The University provides high-speed, direct Internet access for all offices and residences in the Hesburgh Center. As a visitor to the University, you will receive a Google account with unlimited storage for the term of your fellowship.
