Video Production explores the history of film, as well as the development of filmic techniques like reverse angle shots, the use of the closeup shot, and flashback construction. Students get to try their hand at video editing, by putting together a short film using multiple of these techniques. They will experiment with camera movements, learn about composition, preproduction, (creating a storyboard and script) and try their hand at editing their clips together using titles and transitions. During the course of the year students will also be exposed to various film directors and both classic and more modern productions and techniques. Students will learn how directors effectively tell a story using video media!Â
