Digital Arts

Instructor Brian McCrae is a NCUHS graduate whose father was also an art teacher at the school! Starting during his years as a North Country student, Brian worked on the school yearbook and in the darkroom at the school. He was also an aide in the Audio Visual department, and worked video taping school events and programming for use by various teachers in their classrooms. He set up and did troubleshooting on the projectors and equipment of that time. Eventually he had a 20 year long career working as a grapic designer, illlustrator, photographer, and videographer. He also has a degree in fine art, and is a skilled draftsman, who has worked as a professional artist and illustrator using various mediums including paint, pencil and color pencil, as well as techincal pen & ink. His career spans the transition from analog to digital, and he still enjoys doing it all!
