Mission and Overview
Through research and service, our primary mission is to advance educational equity nationally and internationally, particularly by improving academic outcomes for children and adolescents. Our work is mainly designed to support the educators who routinely interact with children and adolescents. This includes classroom teachers, special education teachers, reading specialists, school psychologists, parents, community members who volunteer in school-based settings, and any individual or group that has a role in supporting students’ education. In most cases, our projects involve collaborative partnerships with schools, parents, and/or community-based education centers.
