Prospective Community Partners

As described on our page about community partners, we work with professionals representing a range of different organizations and areas of expertise. In addition, our community partners sometimes include individuals who are not directly affiliated with a specific community-partner organization. Instead, these community members want to work with our team because of their strong interest in our projects and goals. These individuals often come to our team with background experiences (or interests in) educational research, working with children, working in schools, and/or working with nonprofit organizations.

Do you represent an organization that may want to collaborate with us?

If you and your organization may want to collaborate, please contact the Director of the ERPAS team, Dr. John Begeny: john_begeny@ncsu.edu

Do you want to get involved with the ERPAS team without an organizational partnership?

Individual community members work with our team on a volunteer basis and typically commit between 5-10 hours per week. These community members tend to have strong interests in understanding diversity and issues of social justice, such as ensuring that all children have equal opportunities for an effective education. Some of our community-member partners also have interest in pursuing graduate school in a field related to education or psychology—and they use involvement with our team for experiential learning that can support applications for graduate school.
