Interactive eReading using Actively Learn, ProQuest Refworks and Google Docs

Wednesday, August 9, 2017

9:00 AM - 10:15 AM

DH Hill Library - Assembly Room

When asking students to read, how can you be sure they are deeply engaged in the text? Are there ways to encourage them to interact with the text and to collaborate with each other around ideas that come from their readings? We will look at three tools, Actively Learn, ProQuest Refworks and Google Docs exploring how different uses can encourage student interaction with their own readings. Participants in this session will explore the different technologies with guided demonstrations by the session leader and then will choose one or all tools to practice and try out as a learner and an instructor.
