10:30 AM - 11:45 AM
DH Hill Library - Multimedia Seminar Center
Virtual reality is an emerging technology with radical potential for education, training, gaming, entertainment, and more. How can libraries and educators provide access and support for users to get familiar with this technology, and use it in our work? In this session we will look at a range of platforms, games, tools, and strategies for mitigating the complexities of this quickly-evolving technology so users get the most out of it. We will discuss and demo vTime, which is a free social VR app used for realtime online virtual interaction.
Note: This session was originally planned to cover AltspaceVR, but plans changed after AltspaceVR announced that it was stopping service in early August.
