Dear Parents,
You are receiving this communication because you have previously submitted non-medical immunization exemptions for your student(s).
There are two important changes that we need to share:
The required video module is now 1 hour long and cannot be skipped.
Blank documents or notes stating you will submit information later cannot be accepted.
There are important updates from the State of Colorado that will affect all future non-medical exemption submissions. Please read this letter carefully, as failure to comply with these requirements within the enrollment window may result in your student’s seat being relinquished and offered to a student on the waitlist.
As a public charter school, we are legally required to adhere to state mandates, and we greatly appreciate your cooperation.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has released an updated immunization exemption video module for families choosing a non-medical exemption. Key changes include:
The video module is now 1 hour long and cannot be skipped.
At the end of the video, you will be prompted to select the specific immunizations you are exempting your student from.
Once you save and close the module, you will not be able to access it again, so please be sure to save the document properly before exiting.
The system does not automatically save, and you cannot log back in to retrieve it later.
If you are unsure which immunizations your student requires, please email the school health tech, Mrs. Luquette, for assistance. You may also choose to mark all immunizations; the health office can adjust your student’s record as needed.
Uploading Documentation During the Enrollment Window: January 6 - January 26
During enrollment, you must upload the correct exemption certificate or medical documentation in the immunizations section.
Blank documents or notes stating you will submit information later cannot be accepted.
Submitting incomplete or incorrect documentation may result in your student’s seat being forfeited for the upcoming school year.
We want to emphasize that we respect the authority of parents and guardians to make medical decisions for their children. Our goal is to support you in that role while ensuring the school remains in compliance with all state and authorizer requirements.
We are providing this notice early to give families ample time to complete the updated exemption process and avoid any disruption during enrollment. Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain a smooth and compliant process for all students.
Please direct questions to Mrs. Luquette.
Warm regards,
Ms. Hiatt
