World Languages

The World Language Department offers courses ranging from beginning to Advanced Placement French, German, Italian and Spanish. The North Brunswick Township Board of Education requires all students to successfully complete five credits of World Language study as a graduation requirement. Students who plan to attend competitive colleges or universities are encouraged to take a minimum of three years of the same language.

The Department also offers a variety of extra-curricular activities including clubs and induction into National World Language Honor Societies in each of the four languages. Candidates for acceptance into any of the World Language Honor Societies must maintain an A average in the World Language and meet any other requirements as determined by that language’s national organization. Extra-curricular Language Club membership is not limited to students of that language.
