Art

Do you love Art? Well I do! It is a way to express yourself in different ways and use your imagination and creativity. In this newsletter you will see the different strategies of art that we have learned so far and have used as of 2018.

For this project we thought of how different the future would look like from today. So we took that idea and converted it into an image. We all had many ideas for what the future may look like. Here are some images on the side of some of the students wonderful work. But of course before we started we learned about cubism and shading using acrylic. The way we did this was practicing on are own how to draw different cubic forms and trying to incorporate this into our vision that we had of the future at the time. Shading can be used with acrylic, crayons, colored pencils, and ect. We use shading by starting with a light color and the color starts getting darker as you make progress.

Abstraction & Abstract

You might think that abstraction & abstract are the same, but guess what… they are not. Abstract is something that is different and is totally fake, but abstraction is something that is strange but,you could see or notice what the the person that drew that was trying to draw.

For example this photo:

For you, this might seem like an abstract art, but it's actually abstraction. How? You may be asking yourself, well you could see that this is unordinary, but you could still see what it is. It's a face, but it's something that is abstract, but you could see what the thing is but it’s totally fake, and that makes it abstraction.

Shark tank

This right here is one project that the 5th grade Gifted and Talented are working on right now and it is about making an invention that will solve a problem that is in our ecosystem. How this incorporates to humanities, math, art, and science is that in each class will collaborate with a certain area that involves problem solving. In each class there is a certain part that evolves into the huge project, but the thing we need to try to solve is a problem in a type of ecosystem like caves, forests, lakes, etc.

MakerSpace

The Maker Space is also known as the art room. This is a wonderful place were us students can make all different types of projects. In all projects us students work really hard and put in all of our effort in it. Each project has a meaning for why we did it. One example is the futurism. The meaning for that project is that each of us can visualize what the future may look like and then we sketched our prediction and then we painted it with acrylic and used our acrylic skills. The Maker Space is a very special place that us students collaborate with each other and use all different types of materials to make a projects look amazing and wonderful.
