The Eb Alto Sax

The Eb Alto Saxophone is the lowest of the beginning woodwind instruments. It makes it sound by vibrating a reed on the mouthpiece. The pitch is changed by covering holes on the body of the instrument. There is only one size Alto Sax for all students. Beginning sounds on an Alto Sax sound a lot like a moose. With continued practice this will become much better within three or four weeks. Beginners find that it is easy to start making sounds on the Alto Saxophone.
