Strings

The String Instruments

Violin and Cello are offered to students in Wellfleet and Eastham.

The violin has the highest sound of the string family instruments. The violin plays notes on the treble clef. The cello plays on the bass clef and is the equivalent of a trombone in its pitch. The string instruments are played by pulling a bow across the strings or by plucking the strings. Please refer to the sizing charts links on this page so that you have the proper size for your child.

The string instruments are sized according to the height and reach of the player. They are the only instruments that come in various sizes.
