Instrument Rentals

Instruments can be obtained from a number of dealers or stores. Prices for their rentals are available on their websites. Two of the companies that we have used in Nauset are:

• David French Music Company

  • They are a Massachusetts based company with an office in Walpole, MA. Their representative travels to the Cape at least twice a month for drop-offs and pickups. Rentals made through the website are sent right to the school for the beginning of the school year and lessons. Initial rentals are done for a four month trial period. The price includes insurance for all damage and loss except for reeds, strings, sticks, and drum heads. Books can be ordered through David French Music at the time of rental. • Music Arts

  • Music Arts is a Nationally based company in Maryland with an office in Walpole. Their representative travels to the Cape for drop-offs and pickups. Rentals made through the website are sent right to the school for the beginning of the school year and lessons. Initial rentals are done for a trial period. The price includes insurance for all damage and loss except for reeds, strings, sticks, and drum heads. Books can be ordered through MusicArts at the time of rental. Their number is 1-888-731-5396. I do not recommend going online to purchase an instrument from sites that sell everything else as well. While the prices will be better, the quality of instruments is usually inferior and makes it harder for the beginner to be successful.
