ETC-585: Technology Integration in the PreK-16 Classroom

The Professional Develop Unit is what I am most proud of because it challenged me to think critically about how to model and facilitate a technology-enhancing learning experience and environments. I worked on this assignment with two other partners and together we created a unit that focuses on global awareness and interaction through digital learning contents. We centered our unit on learner-centered activities through the use of iEarn and developed assessments to monitor the learning progression to meet desirable outcomes. This unit encompasses multiple ISTE standards for coaches, students and teachers where a shared vision can be manifested to improve the learning experience and environment.

The global learning scenario is one that best reflects my commitment to technology integration into the curriculum. This assignment encompasses two digital learning contents that can be used to priorities 21st century skills including communication, collaboration and interactivity. By having the students use iEarn to construct their knowledge in a constructivist environment and using Canva to present augmented presentations, the learning objectives will be enhanced and transformed. This assignment represents my dedication and reinforcement about why integrated technology is essential in 21st century teaching and learning.
