MYP Reporting
Reporting MYP criteria
Teachers must communicate student achievement levels for each assessment criterion (A-D) to students and families. At minimum, teachers must assess all four criteria at least twice in the course (once per semester for most courses).
"Best Fit" method:
MYP rubrics are holistic and do not require mastery of each level descriptor but graded as a “best fit” method.
First, determine if the first descriptor (1-2) describes the student’s performance. If the student exceeds the expectations of the first descriptor, determine if the second descriptor (3-4) describes the student’s performance. Continue this process until you determine the student’s level.
If a student’s performance fulfills some of the expectations of a lower band and a higher band, the teacher should use their professional judgment.
Teachers should take into account a student’s progress throughout the unit as well as the support received. Teachers should use evidence from a range of learning experiences to determine final achievement levels.
A teacher cannot transfer a percentage into a MYP rubric score. For example, if a student scores a 95%, the teacher cannot transfer that grade into an MYP rubric score (0-8). In contrast, a teacher may transfer an MYP grade into a traditional grade. For example, if a student scores a 7 based on the MYP rubric, the teacher may translate that score into a % or letter grade.
Setting up Infinite Campus
We will use a standards-based report card to report MYP criterion scores and progress. This is similar to a standards-based elementary report card.

How to post MYP scores (Q2 and Q4) in IC
The procedures to post MYP scores is the same for your HS Final grade.
Remember: The proficiency estimate is a prediction of a student's skill level. This is based on your Grade Calc Set-Up.
Most teachers selected "Most Recent" so the last summative assessment score will be listed in the "Proficiency Estimate" to Post.
You can manually change the final posted score using the drop-down menu in the "Grade" column.
