In MYP, a unit is defined as a period of study that concludes with a summative assessment. The MYP unit planner follows the “backwards planning” framework of Understanding by Design by Wiggins and McTighe. The unit planning process follows the same inquiry cycle as defined for students.
Managebac
We use Managebac at IHS as an online platform for teachers to work collaboratively with their subject area teams to build unit plans and curriculum. All teachers at IHS can view the unit plans developed by all subject area teams at IHS.
In addition, Diploma Programme students (11th-12th grades) use Managebac for CAS, Extended Essay, and other DP requirements.
