Reflecting on the learning experience:
In this substandard the social worker as a profession has to remain in state of the flux for years, dedicated professionals continue to support individuals, families and communities at their most troubled times. The constantly involvement nature of the social life has made it difficult to build a single and standard model for social work. The selection of methods and interventions is further influenced by the social worker's underlying belief system, value bases and theoretical preferences. The term intervention could sometimes be challenged within social work because of its suggestion of doing something to others without their consent. As with counselling and therapy it is valuable when put together as part of an alliance between social workers and service users. (Parker, 2013). A framework that offers a clear process for social workers to be able to engage with service users and implement appropriate interventions is somehow vital. In this the social worker worked on an intervention report to help the client/ student deal with their issues and looked for alternative ways to help the student to better him/ herself. The social worker helped the student build confidence and trust in her. Monitoring and evaluation in social are a vital function. It enables the social worker to continually optimize care delivery and it helps social organizations and government agencies to improve programs, so that they have maximum positive impact. Evaluation tools in social work also help ensure that methods of therapy and assistance evolve with each generation. Program evaluation for social workers can also help ensure funding for a necessary program by showing the benefits being provided to the student or client.
Supporting evidence:
In this BSW standard the supporting evidence could be found in the Intervention report, because the social worker helps the student overcome things that he is facing and also supports him, the social worker helps and supports the student to develop trust and confidence again. Evidence could be found in the Intervention Report: The Helping Process in Phase 1 on page 3 and 4 highlighted in blue.
