Hello, Bobcats!

What a wonderful week this week! We celebrated so many students who leveled up in their English language proficiency, including 17 students who were redesignated because of their great gains in their English language (this means they are no longer considered English Learners by the state of California). That day also served as our grand opening for our school's community room. If you haven't stopped by to see this room, please be sure you do. We have so many resources available for you and your family. Mrs. Murillo and Mrs. Nesbitt are the two ladies leading this work and room. Please ask for them if you have not met them before.

I also want to share a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Hansen, our PTA president, the PTA Board Members, and the parent volunteers who helped make our movie night a success (sorry about all the technical difficulties)! Mrs. Hansen was out shopping all week in preparation for this event. So much goes on behind the scenes that she and the Board Members and volunteers do to ensure our students and families get to enjoy these wonderful community events. I also want to say thank you to the many families who attended our PTA meeting and movie night! It wouldn't have been a wonderful event without you and your children. To the parents who were able to join us at Friday flag today, thank you! Remember, the last Friday of every month is open for parents to come onto the campus to join us for Friday flag.

Next week marks the end of the first trimester! Unbelievable, right? Friday is also make-up picture day for any students who missed the first picture day. Friday is also when Padres in Action starts. Padres in Action is an opportunity for parents to come on campus during student recess to lead and join children in games and activities. Please contact the office for more information.

¡Hola Bobcats!

¡Qué semana tan maravillosa esta semana! Celebramos a tantos estudiantes que mejoraron su dominio del idioma inglés, incluidos 17 estudiantes que fueron redesignados debido a sus grandes avances en su idioma inglés (esto significa que el estado de California ya no los considera estudiantes de inglés). Ese día también sirvió como nuestra gran inauguración del salón comunitario de nuestra escuela. Si no ha pasado a ver esta sala, asegúrese de hacerlo. Tenemos muchos recursos disponibles para usted y su familia. La Sra. Murillo y la Sra. Nesbitt son las dos damas que dirigen este trabajo y esta sala. Pregunte por ellos si no los ha conocido antes.

¡También quiero compartir un ENORME agradecimiento a la Sra. Hansen, nuestra presidenta de la PTA, los miembros de la Junta de la PTA y los padres voluntarios que ayudaron a que nuestra noche de cine fuera un éxito (perdón por todas las dificultades técnicas.)! La Sra. Hansen estuvo de compras toda la semana preparándose para este evento. Suceden muchas cosas detrás de escena que ella, los miembros de la junta y los voluntarios hacen para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes y familias disfruten de estos maravillosos eventos comunitarios. ¡También quiero agradecer a las muchas familias que asistieron a nuestra reunión de la PTA y a nuestra noche de cine! No habría sido un evento maravilloso sin usted y sus hijos. A los padres que pudieron acompañarnos hoy en Friday Flag, ¡gracias! Recuerde, el último viernes de cada mes está abierto para que los padres vengan al campus y se unan a nosotros para la bandera del viernes.

¡La próxima semana marca el final del primer trimestre! Increíble, ¿verdad? El viernes también es el día de recuperación de fotografías para los estudiantes que se perdieron el primer día de fotografías. El viernes también es cuando comienza Padres en Acción. Padres en Acción es una oportunidad para que los padres vengan al campus durante el recreo de los estudiantes para liderar y unirse a los niños en juegos y actividades.
