The Game
What was Infinite Recharge: Game Changers?
The 2021 Infinite Recharge game maintained the same core objectives but introduced several adjustments to accommodate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Teams still competed by gathering and launching Power Cells into different scoring zones of the Shield Generator, with a focus on maximizing points through both autonomous and teleoperated play. The Control Panel element, where teams could spin the color wheel for additional points, was also retained. During the endgame, robots attempted to climb the Generator Switch and balance it for extra points.
Infinite Recharge at Home: Teams submitted videos showcasing their robots completing specific tasks.
Game Design Challenge: Teams designed and proposed their own FRC game concepts.
Innovation Challenge: Students developed innovative solutions to real-world problems, with a focus beyond the robotics field.
These challenges allowed teams to participate in a more flexible format, ensuring continued engagement in FIRST Robotics despite restrictions.
Our Robot
This year we decided to go bigger and improve the robot's potential than the robot from the year prior since the game was repeated. This robot competed in one tournament fortunately and we were so excited and had a great success with the new modified innovation. We were able to complete so much progress and tasks from the home of the robot which was our workshop here at the high school. We were so glad to have a much more advanced robot that we could complete more tasks with.
