Santa Arrives by Tugboat & Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

WE'RE ON THE HUNT FOR THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS TREE!

We're always thinking ahead. Help us find the perfect tree to brighten the 2021 holiday season in Downtown Mystic CT - Mystic River Park! The tree should be local, easily-accessible, 25-30-feet and perfectly-symmetrical. $250 will be donated on behalf of the individual who provides the tree to their charity of choice.

This annual tradition is one of our favorites. After an extensive search for the perfect Christmas tree, it is lit for the season at this event and will remain in Mystic River Park to be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike throughout the holiday season.

Santa Claus is coming to town and so is Mystic’s Holiday Lighted Boat Parade in Historic Downtown Mystic on November 26, 2022. Christmas Tree Lighting is at 6pm with the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade to follow. This event has become a beloved tradition in Mystic over the years-- don’t miss out on being part of the festivities by sponsoring our candy canes, parade & more! The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center will be on site to collect unwrapped toy donations for the holidays. Come out and support a great cause!

HOLIDAY LIGHTED BOAT PARADE!

Spectators and passersby line both sides of the Mystic River to watch as decorated boats pass by in the 19th Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade. Interested in showcasing your boat for the Lighted Boat Parade? Participation is open to the public and only requires a toy donation to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center which will be on site the day of.

Come and see as decorated vessels parade down the Mystic River just after 6PM and return to the Mystic River Park, where spectators and judges gather. Boats are judged on creativity and team spirit, with prizes offered in five categories: 'Most Charismatic Crew', 'Innovative Vessel', 'Best Dressed Vessel', 'Most Holiday Spirit' and 'Miss Mystic Vessel of Grandeur'.
