Meet the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Staff
Bruce Flax, President
Bruce Flax has joined the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce after working in Entertainment and Marketing at Foxwoods Resort Casino for 26 years.
As a 25 year resident of Groton, who served on the Town Council and as Mayor, Bruce has a wealth of local knowledge. He looks forward to focusing the Chamber on its members and working to successfully open Mystic back up for business as COVID becomes manageable through vaccination and safe behavior.
Morgan Yandow, Membership Manager
Morgan Yandow graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 2014 and then started working in Mystic, Connecticut for Noank Shipyard and Seaport Marine. After spending three years in the marina industry, Morgan moved to Boston where she worked as a Human Resource Professional for a top-ten accounting firm for four years. When COVID-19 hit, she decided it was time to move back to Mystic, the place she knew she would eventually move back to at some point in her life. Morgan joined the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce in April of 2021 as the Marketing and Events Manager and then shortly after moved over to Membership. In addition to her role at the Mystic Chamber, Morgan is actively pursuing her MBA at Providence College. Her extensive background in connecting with others, putting people first and her knowledge of business operations and management has made her the perfect fit as the Membership Manager.
Morgan grew up summering in Mystic and is familiar with all the shops, neighborhoods and has become a friendly face to the community, businesses and to the place she now calls home. The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to have Morgan as part of the team and is looking forward to her expanding the membership program in the near future.
