Before coming to College, check the NHS website for information on Student Health. This will be help you to plan for becoming a student and protecting your overall health and wellbeing.
This includes ensuring your vaccinations are up-to-date. This is really important, especially, if you are moving away from home and staying in Student Accommodation. Check the NHS Inform website to find out more about vaccinations and registering with a GP.
Coming to college can be a big change and, while it’s exciting, it’s also important to remember to look after your emotional and social wellbeing. We understand that there might be times when you’re not feeling yourself and that different stressors might impact on your wellbeing. Our Student Counselling and Wellbeing team are here to support all College students. Within our team we have four Student Counsellors and a Counselling and Wellbeing Coordinator.
At City, we have lots of activities and resources in place to help you to look after your wellbeing. Why not try yoga, mindfulness or access our self-help resources in our Student Mental Health and Wellbeing pages. While studying at college it’s important to positively manage your mental health so you can achieve your goals as well as enjoy your experience.
