The video below introduces Wakelet and how to create a collection.
Wakelet is a free platform that allows individuals or groups to collect and curate content online. You can think of it as a collaborative online scrapbook. For on-the-fly brainstorming, participants can be anonymous and no registration is required. Alternatively, learners can also be invited using their College email to ensure that all contributions are attributed correctly.
The collections can be shared publicly on the web, or restricted to specific viewers. They can also be downloaded as a pdf for assessment or archiving.
To set up a free Wakelet account and profile, please use your student College Outlook email address (your student number @cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk) and password, use the 'Continue with Microsoft' option, instructions below for signing up:
Go to Wakelet (https://wakelet.com/).
Click the blue Sign up button top right of the screen.
Select the Continue with Microsoft option.
Use your college student MS Outlook email address to sign up, e.g. 12345678@cityofglacol.ac.uk.
You will then be prompted to add your MS Outlook password.
Click the Sign in button.
You will be prompted to set up your profile, once that is done your Wakelet dashboard will open.
