Making the Future

Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship and Tool Program


The Gene Haas Foundation proudly supports the FIRST Robotics Competition Team ProDigi of Lincoln High School. The Gene Haas Foundation has graciously provided money for scholarships to students in need. Under the Scholarship Program, students can be awarded financial support to a school they will be attending for Machine Tool Technology, Engineering, OR request specific tools or a machinist's toolbox set that will include Calipers, Micrometers, and Measuring Gauges to be used in current machining classes and at workplaces.


Terms of Scholarship:

  • The number of awards and the dollar amount will be based on the funds available.

  • Students must maintain an overall 2.0 GPA.

  • Scholarship applies to tuition, fees, and books only.

  • The Making the Future Scholarships are awarded to students who have established a financial need and have demonstrated outstanding academic and leadership skills and service to the TRF Area Schools and the community.

  • The Making the Future Scholarship requirements include the submission of a resume and the scholarship application.

  • The monetary scholarship will be awarded for the spring semester. Students must provide a fall completed transcript with their student ID in order to receive their funds.

  • The machinist’s toolbox set will be awarded in the Spring semester of classes and will be owned by the student(s) upon graduation from Lincoln High School.


Eligibility:

  • Be a Graduating Senior from Lincoln High School.

  • Have completed one or more Career and Technical Education courses between grades 9 and 12 (Career and Technical Education courses may be in any of the following programs: Agriculture Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Engineering and Robotics Courses).

  • Preference will be given to students who have been members of the ProDigi Robotics team.

  • Show proof of one of the following:

      • Proof of enrollment for an accredited Machine Tool Technology course for the Spring of the following school year.

      • Be currently employed with a machine tool manufacturing business that requires the purchase of own tools and measuring equipment.


Procedure for Applying:

  • Submit an Application containing the following items:

  1. Completed and Signed Application Form

  2. Resume
