2022 Weekly Progress

Here is what we did in 2022!

12/13/2022 - Progress

The builders have been getting the turret rotator working and setting up the driving for the T-shirt firing robot, while the programmers are trying to solve problems without the help of a mentor.

12/6/2022 - Vocabulary

In the words of the builders: "We are buildering."  We also have our season kickoff at Digikey on the 7th of January around 9 am.

11/29/2022 - Sound of Silence

It's pretty quiet today. Not too many team members are here.

11/22/2022 - Side Projects

We have returned to working on the T-shirt firing robot. A frame has been created, though it is still far from being completed. Nevertheless, progress is still being made!

11/15/2022 - RIP The Angler

Our robot has now been reduced to a pile of pieces. Fortunately, some of it will live on in the new robot. Once we know what the new robot will be.

11/8/2022 - NMRC Championship and Open

In Alexandria, our team participated in the NMRC Championship on October 28th and the NMRC Open on October 29th. During the championship, we won 5 of our matches and lost seven of them, ultimately landing in third place. During the NMRC Open, we won 4 of our matches and lost five of them. However, our run ended after losing a match in the quarterfinals.

10/25/2022 - We live!

We're back and preparing for the robotics competitions in Alexandria! The NMRC Championship will be on October 28 and the NMRC Open will be on October 29. Both competitions will be streamed on the Blue Alliance website.

4/28/2022 - Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional

Several weeks ago our team participated in the Minnesota 10,000 Lakes Regional. In the qualification matches, we maintained a rank of 13 with a record of 8 wins and 4 losses. This brought us to the quarterfinals, where we became the #8 alliance captains. Sadly, we lost both matches, ending our run.

Our season is now basically over, aside from various events in our town that we will be attending off and on.

3/31/2022 - Great Northern Regional

From March 23rd to March 26th, our team participated in the Great Northern Regional at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. In the qualification rounds, we won five matches and was rank 33. For the quarterfinals, our team was selected for an alliance with two Cass Lake teams named the Regulators and Accelerators. We did our best, but was defeated in both matches, ending our run. Nevertheless, our team had fun and learned a lot from the competitions. Currently, we are upgrading our robot and preparing for the Minneapolis competitions next week!

3/17/2022 - Ramping Up!

The building, as always, continues. The robot is now semi-functional and our climber has improved. We have also gotten an opportunity to attend a Sports Boosters Lunch and show off our robot!

3/10/2022 - Looking Better

Our robot continues to look better and better. Its climber has been installed, but it has yet to become functional. In the meantime, we have to be careful to avoid punching a hole in the ceiling!

3/3/2022 - Business

The work continues, as well as the jokes and the food.

2/24/2022 - Lookalike

Our robot is now looking more like a robot. The programmers have also been testing out their code with a prototype of our robot. However, it has a habit of disassembling itself!

2/14/2022 - Vex Volunteering

Over the weekend, some of our team got to volunteer at the VEX Robotics Competition. We worked as referees, judges, and scorekeepers. To our surprise, we also won Volunteer of the Year!

2/3/2022 - Filming

Our team was given the opportunity to create a small video clip that will be added to a larger music video. Naturally, we made it as random as possible!

1/27/2022 - Progress!

Sheev is practically no more, and we have made quite a bit of progress with our new robot. Everyone is also staying at the school much later.

1/19/2022 - Organization

The deconstruction of our robot continues. We have also been organizing our room and getting rid of unwanted things.

1/10/2022 - Rest in pieces...

The 2022 game has been announced, and we are back from our break! Unfortunately, this means the end for Sheev. May he rest in pieces.
