Week 2 - Creating a Climber & Shooting Algae
We have made several changes to our intake/shooter. We can now successfully shoot the algae into the barge! We have been machining a few parts and are currently trying to add the climber to The Walrus!
Week 1 - Duluth Regional
We had a solid showing for Week 1. We passed the inspection quickly and managed to get in several extra practice matches. We were very successful at placing coral on L2, L3, & L4. We also had a strong defense for one match but in the end, without a successful climber, we were not considered a strong pick. We finished in 31st place after the qualification rounds. This is our focus for the next week before we head to the Great Northern Regional.
2/19/2025 - Prepping For Week 0.5
An interview about our team and what our robot can do and Anthony fixing the feeder station we use to practice feeding coral to our robot.
2/6/25 - Sub-Systems
Making our new batteries competition-ready! How should we handle the algae? There is always something to do!
1/21/25 - Elevator Work
We have been working around the clock trying to get our robot built in time for our first competition. We are working after school every day and putting in full days on Saturdays! Progress is being made. We are working on our elevator and getting the elevator to oscillate.
1/6/25 - What will the bot look like?
We are spending our time with some prototyping! What is the best way to intake coral? We are also starting to print our own wheels for our swerve drive.
1/4/25 - Kick-off!
We spent time before the big announcement playing a few games, steady hands are the key! Listened to a great session about the design process and practiced designing a robot to meet certain specifications. Took time to explain our thought processes to our mentors who then asked guiding questions to help us focus our attention on the correct sub-systems. We have finally gotten the long-awaited water game. We are very excited about what the year has to bring. Reefscape is the game name, and we can't wait to dive in!
