We participated in the Engineering Technology/Design competition at SkillsUSA Regionals in Pasadena Community College, where we were asked to present our journey through the engineering process up until that point. With a visual aide and the 3D print, we explained the problem we wished to address and our method of approaching the problem. We described our brainstorming, material selection, various deliverables, and other specific points in time of our process. Our team earned silver.
Reflection: The experience was very beneficial to my own understanding of our problem. Having to explain our problem in words helped clarify exactly what we were doing. It also helped me realize that the entire project idea seems outlandish and unimportant, which is a point we needed to counter with a justification of its importance.
