Decision Matrix

Our final choice was the quick grip clamp idea. It was the best option to pursue for our design for these reasons:

• relatively designable
• similar costs to the other options
• very tight grip
• can be designed to be very slim
• should take a reasonable amount of time to complete
• can be adjusted very quickly

Reflection: While our decision matrix shows that the quick grip clamp design was the best option, it may not have been a fair comparison. All three members of my group were biased towards this option, and thus we may have skewed the scores in its favor. This fact may or may not result in our downfall later down the line, but we are unsure at the moment. We recommend keeping biases away from this step of the process to give each option a fair shot of consideration.
