Education Technology
Indianapolis Public School District is excited to continue as a 1:1 school district by providing all students and teachers access to education on either an iPad or Chromebook. We accomplished a fundamental shift where we saw amazing growth and new skills thanks to the dedication of our staff. As a result, the district has made it a strategic priority to continue our transformation of developing 1:1 technology-based learning and increase the support of our teachers in this environment. This initiative continues to allow IPS to become more forward-thinking in meeting the needs of our students in the 21st century, continue to grow our students with continuity across the district, and provide access to high quality education.Â
To support the needs of this initiative, the district developed the Ed Tech Teacher Leader (ETTL) role. The ETTL works with the teachers at their school to promote effective methods of technology integration. They provide monthly staff professional development as well as work 1:1 with teachers.
