Locate the Sidebar: On the left-hand navigation menu (where your class list is), look for the Gemini icon (a colorful diamond shape).
Launch: Click the icon to open the Gemini Panel. This stays open as you navigate between different classes.

Within the Gemini sidebar, select the Planning filter to access specific templates:
Lesson Plan Outline: Enter your topic and grade level. Gemini will generate objectives, a timed agenda, and common misconceptions.
Create a Rubric: Describe your project. Gemini will build a table with criteria (e.g., Grammar, Creativity, Organization) which you can then Export to Classroom Rubrics.

Generate a Quiz: Select "Generate Quiz." You can upload a PDF from your Drive or paste a YouTube link. Gemini will create 5-10 questions.
Export to Forms: Once the quiz is generated, click "Export to Google Forms" to instantly create a self-grading quiz for your students.
Build a Choice Boards: Use the "Choice Board" tool to generate nine different activities based on one learning objective, allowing for student agency.

Re-level Text: Paste a complex article. Ask Gemini to "Rewrite this for a 3rd-grade reading level" or "Simplify Text".
Translate Test: Select your target language and paste the text you wish to translate.
Always review AI-generated content before assigning it. While Gemini is grounded in educational data, it can still make mistakes.
