Go to the Classwork tab and click the + Create button, then select Assignment.
Fill in the Essentails
Give the assignment a clear name (one that matches the assignment in PTP)
Instructions: Give specific directions for your students to follow.
Click the icons under the instructions to add resources:
Google Drive: Attach a template or reading material.
Upload: Grab a file from your computer.
Link/YouTube: Add external websites or videos.
New: Create a fresh Doc, Slide, or Sheet right there.
If you attach a Google Doc, use the dropdown menu to select "Make a copy for each student." This gives every kid their own file without allowing students to edit the original.
Settings: Before you hit post, edit the details on the right:
For: Choose which classes or specific students receive the work.
Points: Set the grade value or select "Ungraded."
Due Date: Pick a deadline and time.
Topic: Organize the assignment under the weekly topic.
Finalizing the Post: You have three options for posting (blue button top right)
Assign - Posts immediately
Schedule- Pick a future date/time
Save Draft- Keep it hidden until you're ready to post
