Open the Quiz Tool: Click the Global Navigation (the three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner and select Quiz (under tools), then Quiz Library.
Use the Search to find a video quiz aligned to your content.
3. Once you’ve found a quiz in Discovery Education, clicking the "More Actions" (three dots) menu or viewing the quiz dashboard provides several management options.
Here is a breakdown of what each function does:
Launch Now-This is the "Live" mode. Use this if you want students to take the quiz right now in the classroom. You can choose Teacher-Led (you play the video on the main screen for everyone) or Student-Led (students watch and answer at their own pace on their own devices). It provides a Join Code for students to enter.
Assign - This is the standard "Homework" or "Independent Work" option. It allows you to select specific classes or individual students, set a Start Date, and set a Due Date. Once assigned, the quiz appears in the students' "Upcoming Assignments" list on their dashboard.
View as Student- This is the standard "Homework" or "Independent Work" option. It allows you to select specific classes or individual students, set a Start Date, and set a Due Date. Once assigned, the quiz appears in the students' "Upcoming Assignments" list on their dashboard.
Edit- This re-opens the Quiz Builder interface. Use this to add more questions, change the wording of an existing question, reorder the video "stops," or swap out the video entirely.
Add to My Quizzes- This saves the quiz to your personal library within Discovery Education. It acts like a "Bookmark" or "Favorite" button, ensuring you don't have to search for the video again later. It will be stored in your "My Content" folder for future school years.
Copy Link- This generates a direct URL for the quiz to post in Google Classroom.
View Full Details- This generates a paper-friendly version of the quiz. While it obviously won't play the video, it provides the text of the questions and the multiple-choice options. This is a great accommodation for students with specific IEP needs or for those without internet access.
