Occupational Therapist
I am an Occupational Therapist, and I started my career on a band 5 rotation working across acute settings where I developed my assessment, treatment and planning skills. Then after 2 years I applied for a band 6 post within a Community Rehabilitation Centre. I progressed to a team leader role managing an integrated team of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Support Workers within a community rehabilitation hospital. During this time I completed a MSc in leadership.
I joined the Lancashire and South Cumbria (LSC) AHP Faculty in August 2021 as a AHP Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) to support the system wide approach to collaboration of working. In 2022 my job change to Project Manager role supporting LSC Integrated Care System. This role supports the 14 AHP professions working between Health, Social Care and Education providers across the System. Looking at cross organisation working to develop workforce initiatives, varying from Supply and Retention, Apprenticeship, Preceptorship and early professional development, Equality, Diversity, inclusion and Belonging. While working across the four pillars of practise: leadership, education, clinical and research.
