About Me
I live in New Meadows with my husband and our three boys. I attended school in Riggins, Idaho and then later graduated from Lewis-Clark State College with a degree in Elementary Education and minor in Literacy. I have had the opportunity to work in several school districts, and I have always been drawn to the small town communities. This is my fifth year teaching second grade in the Meadows Valley School District.
Class Overview
I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued. My teaching style is student-centered, allowing for choice and incorporating students’ interests to keep learning meaningful and engaging. I focus on helping each student grow and build on their unique strengths. I guide students to see how their learning connects to the real world and how they can make a difference, even at a young age. I encourage curiosity, perseverance, and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. At Meadows Valley, we are proud to be a mastery-based school—emphasizing skill development and true understanding over seat time.
