Mustang Strength & Speed PE

The Dave and Carol Van Metre Mustang Weight Room has 1800 square feet of space available and the gym down the stairs from the weight room is used by all students and teams for warm up and speed training. Thanks to Dave and Carol Van Metre and the Mustang Athletic Booster Club, the weight room sports 9 Power Lift Half Racks, Infinity Max Universal Flooring, over 5000 lbs of Iron Grip and bumper plates, dumbbells that range from 5 lbs - 100 lbs, and an array of other modalities making the weight room one of the best in the WaMaC Conference.

The Mustang strength training facility is designed to provide our student-athletes with the most comprehensive strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs available under the direction of Preston Pedersen and Ryan Whitman. The Mustang Strength and Speed Program is dedicated to helping create healthy lifestyles and developing our student-athletes both physically and mentally for competition and for life.
